Conditions nivologiques, accès & météo
Weather/temperatures: good and sunny, very little wind until the final 100m
Access conditions/parking altitude: 1447m
Skiing/snowboarding altitude: 1447m
Skiing conditions: All skiable but with care due to hard snow and crust
Snow conditions and avalanche activity: the main corridor had avalanched in previous snowfall leaving only the hard snow so crampons were needed to ascend almost all of the corridor.
Some slabs visible in the final face, we stayed as close to the rocky edge as we could to avoid them. The choke was quite empty of snow. We skied with ice ax in hand for that section
Skiabilité : 😐 Correcte
Compte rendu
With Robbie Milne. A fast day due to work in the evening. We left Pralognan at 7:30am to summit at 1:15pm.
Very good line, much shorter than we expected in the ascent due to hard snow which made the boot pack easy. We went to explore another future line for an hour or so on the ascent as we waited for the crust to soften in the sun for the ski down.
Beautiful ambiance from the summit
